I have that barrel on my M4 and put one on a friends build that's a few miles from here.

You and your son won't wear it out. Excellent product imo.

Anyone dealt with Model 1 Sales? Prices are very reasonable! Complete upper for @$500. How is their reliability and quality?

I have never dealt with Model 1 sales, but if you go to AR15.com and search them, you will read that some people have horror stories about them and some that have had good luck with them.

Well, that sounds about like every other reasonably priced manufacturer! Thanks though! Anyone have personal experience with them?

Model 1 and Century fall in the same group. You may get a good one and you might not. I've stayed away for that reason. Kinda a "you get what you pay for" type thing.

I know Jesse personally from J&T. You might want to give them a look. Just accross the TN line in KY. They are good folks to do business with. http://www.jtdistributing.net/index.html

Edit: Just buy the Sig 556 an be done http://www.sigsauer.com/ lol

Do you get any discounts from J&T? He has some nice looking stuff. I would need to talk to someone before ordering. So many options and I am not sure what some of the stuff is. I know what I want and if I can tell someone there, they should be able to tell me what I need.

Check out Del-Ton.com they have rifle kits starting at $465.00
They seem to have a good rep on AR15.com

What do you think about this upper? It is 1:9 and not chrome lined, but for $425, with YHM flip up front sight, it is hard to beat.

Wish I did, but when you call ask for Jesse and tell him BeauBeaux from the gunboards said to call him. You will get good help with all your questions. Better than I can answer.
I'm betting you'll get exactly what you want at the best price possible. If you don't mind a little wait time. That is if you like their stuff, by that I mean what you see on their website.
