T/C Prohunter Stainless in .35 Whelen. Game Reaper one piece base and rings, topped with a Leupold VXIII 3.5-10X50 scope. I have been doing some reading on this caliber, and decieded to use it as my all around deer rifle. I will try to sight it in this weekend and give a range report later. Sure feels good on my shoulder. I'm having a local gunsmith do a trigger job next week to take it down to about 2.5 to 3.5 pounds. Should be a shooter then!

This is my own personal weapon. I am not that fond of the tan and black, I think it would look better if it were mostly tan with a little black accents, but that is a project for the future. The sure fire, I picked up at the last gun show that I went to, it is a bright little light, I find myself slipping it into my pocket when I leave the house.

This is going to be all over the place I'm sure, cause most of us have different priorities when it comes to survival i'm sure, but may open someones eyes to something they've never thought of packing.

I hope this is not an overly long question. I have a G23 with a grip reduction due to fairly small hands.

After shooting in the Classifier match in Aug at Magnolia I am hooked.

I was considering getting a Gen 4 G19 since it has a smaller grip and will work with holster, etc for the G23 and should have the same ergonomics but while browsing around here saw a thread for conversion barrels for the G23 to make it 9mm.

My question is would it be worth saving the money and getting a new barrel ...

Until today I had avoided the AR platform. But today I bought a S&W M&P15 flat top. I have heard that AR's in general can be picky about ammo. Some don't like the Wolf because of the lacquered case, some don't like handloads. I was wondering about the Silver Bear ammo, even though it is a steel case, it is nickel plated instead of the lacquer coating. Anyone have comments on what to feed the new toy?

I've been shooting for over 45 years and reloading for at least 35 years. I started out collecting old .22 rifles then moved into old rifles (Winchesters, Marlins & Savage 99's) and shotguns (SxS). As far as pistols, Glocks rock! I currently have 9.
