my new 1911

i have been wanting to buy a 1911 for some time now. i shot a steel match at magnolia with my walther p22 and decided to up it a little for the next steel shoot and get a 1911. i wound up getting a para 1911 GI Expert from vans for $549 new. let me know what you think.

i was going to buy an xdm .40 but the 1911 was way to tempting to pass up.

I got to shoot it this weekend and its pretty smooth and slick on the slide to frame fit.

They sell for about that. You can get it a bit cheaper (MAYBE $50 less) on gunbroker if you are willing to wait and go through the hassles, but it's pretty nice to just pay that extra 10% local and walk away.

Good buy, much, much, much, much better than tupperware. Just sayin'.
