You could be right .... couldn't determine what exactly it was -- my guess was a 40S&W that is the reason I suggested it was a swagged round .... Have no idea what you would use a 38S&W case for ...

BTW, i have 2 of the cases and they are stamped 40S&W.

I have a die and tooling on the way that will swage 9mm and a lead pellet into 40 S&W/10mm. This should be a pretty cool way to make boolits. I'll post info on it after I get a chance to play with it a while.

The die is a C-H die and the internal parts have been modified or new, stronger parts have been supplied by a guy in Oregon. Not sure about posting pictures here but I got an email from him that these had been shipped so I expect them in a day or so. I've got to anneal the brass cases asap so I can go to work on this as soon as the dies arrive. Can't wait

Yea -- C-H is what I have been looking at ... seems a couple guys over on castboolits recommend them. Doing this really perks my interest!! Again, keep us posted on your quest!!
