Wyoming actually put in fines & jail time for any feds that violate that law. (that's why we've been looking at moving to WY, that & some people we know from there. We're going up to their freedom expo in June to camp out with a couple of hundred of them. )

Would love to see Mississippi turn green on that map!

I read about that a while back. I sure hope it works out for them!

Then maybe we need to have bring this to the attention of our reps. Do we have any gun manufacturers based in Mississippi?

I am afraid this will be another example of well intended laws having unintended consequences. The Commerce Clause was bulked up and used to pass needed civil rights legislation, among other pet projects of the persons then in power. But it laid a precedent for the Fed to stick its nose into anything on the premise that growing crops in your backyard for your family use affects interstate commerce b/c you aren't then buying food from, presumably, other states. Very specious. Difficult cases rarely result in good law.

I think we just need to chuck all the pols who are in DC & the states also, start over with a new bunch. Roll back everything back to the Constitution & Declaration of Independence.

I'm guessing that there will be a lot of mini-factories popping up in at least 5 states to make guns and ammo.

While we should start a new campaign to "REELECT NO ONE", the current government is so big and well entrenched that we would not be able to make it return to the original form.

The "Made-in-the-state" laws are just the beginning of the states taking a stand to enforce the original concept of the Constitution.

The original intent was to reserve power for/to the states with the Federal Gov. ONLY doing a few specific things that were clearly of common interest to all the states.
The states are just beginning to try to enforce that intent.

I hope all states take this on, and then we can all just volunteer to help our state manufacutring plants as best we can. Id donate money to help them make the best poducts possible. thumbs up Its hard enough for the big companies to survive with a worldwide market...itd be really tuff with just a statewide market.

I really hope it does not devolve into chaos and civil unrest.

I will say, for the benifit of any government agent/homeland security types that may be looking for us gun toteing right wing terrorists types, that I don't condone the use of gratuitus violence against our own people for any reason.

However, the government really needs to realize that our rights, including the right to defend yourself and your loved ones, pre-date the federal government. In fact, the government "derives it's power to govern from the consent of the governed". I hope we do not have to withdraw our consent.
