H&K P2000 SK or Sig 229 ?

Post by msredneck on Fri Sep 18, 2009 8:48 am

'Necks still on the trail for the ultimate concealable 9mm

Love H&K pistolas but boy are they high

Who knows about the p2000 SK (subcompact)

Don't want any funky controls...like mag rel on the freaking trigger ie the walther pps...that killed that one right there.

Also looking at the Sig 239...think the Sig is a little bigger and holds less ammo

Looking at 9mm only...40s&w is too big a load in a small carry piece for me

I'm not big on external safties for carry guns...wanna whip it out and bang...just like a Glock...The Sig has a decocker which does not bother me

Educate me you H&K and Sig fans

The Sig 239 under consideration would be the SAS Sig Anti-Sag...also has night sites

May have to look at the Kahr pm9 as well

Neck, why have you decided against the G26? I carry the 27 and love it. I saw where someone said it was too wide, but I think the problem is when ppl carry it in too thick of a pocket holster. I have a kydex pocket holster from aholster...and I love it. its really thin and no print. Works in everypair of pants I have except SOME blue jeans, but Im not a jeans person anyway.

I have a friend that has one and I held one off them the other day. Very nice and compact. very thin for my hands and I am not to familiar with KAHR. Reasonably priced also. Just get you the 2000sk with LEM and you will be good but like you said it is very pricey

you can get anything you want if the duckies are there. what about a Glock 36 ???? max fire power (blow great big hole) a little heavy, but you a big boy and can handle it.
the best idea though is to practice with that PUG and just keep what you have already. it will leathally wound within 15 yds for sure with the mag load. bullet will enter and just start spinning around destroying tissue. what else could you want. oh yeah, they do make a 2" S&W 460XVR for killing bears or cars. a person would be unidentifiable i would think.

Well it looks like a lot of folks are like me....

looking for a true pocket 9mm.

My current (Dec) issue of Combat Handguns has the new Taurus 709 Slim 9mm mini blaster on the front cover.....looks promising
