Siderlock Safety
Went to the gun show in Biloxi yesterday and picked up a Siderlock trigger safety for my Glock 23. Installed it myself, only took around 20 mins. Now I have to start carrying the G23 to the range again to practice the safety.
I couldn't believe they charged 8.25 just to get in the show. I think that may be my last gun show. Somehow it just doesn't seem right to have to pay for the opportunity to get gouged.

OK. Most reactions I've seen on other boards has been negative, keeping in mind that most of those people are reacting to the idea of a safety on a Glock as opposed to actually having used one.
Also, I don't carry the Glock so I won't really be able to gauge that aspect. I carry either a PF9 or a Bersa 380.

Yeah. Ive heard the same things from ppl that have not used them. It looks like a fast safety. Im thinking about it in conjunction w/ a lighter competition trigger set up.

I suggest not changing to lighter connector in a carry Glock due to risk if you had to use it. Lawyers would eat your lunch on a modified gun. The safety, you could get away with, but if you put in a 3.5 connector , your goose would be cooked.
BTT, The safety is a good idea and it works if your prefer something manual. I won't be installing one, but others may feel more comfortable with the safety. I do have the adj trigger stop in one of mine and love it, just wished I could put one in my Production Comp Glock for USPSA comp.

i agree with gunonedown on the lighter trigger for a carry gun. i have read a lot of articles and reports about lawyers jumping on that bandwagon... not worth the chance for me.

You know I read a lot about this on glocktalk etc. The idea that a 3.5 connector would make you more prone to prosecution. At the end of the day, I havnt seen any real conformation on this. Im not sure I buy it. Maybe in NY, cant see it in MS. I would think my hydroshock HPs would run more of a risk. Or my EVIL "HI-CAP" mags.

I don't see the need for any additional safety on a Glock period...If the safety mechanisms on a Glock bother you...maybe you should consider a different type of pistol...I'm not being snotty about it...just truthful
If you are following the rules of gun safety...ie Rule #4 you should never have an issue.

I have a 3.5 connector on my Glock I use in USPSA...I would not recommend it for carry.

neck, If you ever shoot one with the trigger stop in it, you'll need one as well. Only problem is that it isn't legal in production.
no aftermarket safety for me. no thanks.
