I have had problems with butler creek and factory ruger mags. It may be just me or my rifle but I have had more luck with copper jacketed bullets. It seems like my 10/22 will hang up every 2nd round with lead jackets. When I use CCI ammo no hang ups thinking

+2 on the Tactical Inc Mags
i have one when they first came out and its sweet. Never had a problem out of it and is extremely durable. Feed lips are adjustable also.

Shoot the heck out of it. Clean it real well! The parts may need to mesh togather. Think of it like piston rings on a car engine. They have to get seated togather, before working optimimly. The silicone sounds like a good idea, but make sure to let it dry. That paint insid the receiver has to worn and lubed. I have had good luck with the Butler Creek Steel Lips mags.
