Why you never shoot bullets you just pick up
Pulled bullets in about 30 30'06 loaded ammo for XD357 just now.
Reminded me of why you NEVER EVER shoot ammo you just pick up or some that someone just gives you.
1. You have no idea of how good a reloader they are
2. You don't know what its loaded with
3. You don't know how many times its been loaded
All these had live primers...one of them had no powder charge...would have been a squib....bad news especially in a semi
That could ruin your day trying to "Thumb ride" you M1-Garand.
Thumb riding...as I call it is when you use the recoil of the rifle and your thumb to make a semi go "full-auto".... Maybe Subgunfan can post a little vid of an example
Subgunfan does it quit well with a AR-15 and good trigger.
Anyway...Left to right...Bad splits in neck...neck torn off....one about to tear....and that's with a little ole RCBS hand bullets buller....

Invest in a $20 bullet puller...This is a potentially dangerous hobby....Don't ever forget it.
XD357 your stuff is ready

Thanks again neck. That's why I didn't want to shoot them.

Well I knew you knew better...but there are a lot of new shooters on here that would have said here...."Watch This"
It never hurts to be reminded...
I had to actually tap some of the cases to get the powder to pour out....not real good

Re: Why you never shoot bullets you just pick up
so was it reloaded ammo or old old surplus stuff? That looks like corrosion in them, especially in/on the second shell.
