2011 F-Class Season

The 2011 season is fast approaching. The Southwest Gun Club NRA league kicks off on March 26th with practice matches planned for the 22nd of January and 26th of February. The matches are scheduled the 4th Saturday of each month until the end of October. There will be 4 classes on the lineup this year, F-Open, F/TR, Field Precision Rifle, and Conventional. Those interested in participating I encourage you to come out to one of the practice matches I think you will find it challenging and rewarding. With our class structure this year most will already have a rifle that will fit into one of the categories and be competitive. So no need to go out and buy new equipment to get started with, unless you need a good excuse.
Also Mstrophyhunter, Mildot and myself plan on attending other matches in the area that we would be glad to help you with information about these matches and would be worth marking these on your calendars.
These are
Palo Alto Louisiana 1st Saturday of each month other than January which will be on the 8th.

Pascagoula, Ms 1st Saturday of each month. 600 and 1,000 yard matches.

Texas State Mid-range Championship: February 26th & 27th Camp Swift Bastrop, Tx

NRA F-Class Regional’s: Memphis, Tn April actual date has not been published yet

NRA F-Class Regional’s: Palo Alto, La May 7th & 8th ( Has not been confirmed)

Louisiana State Championship: Palo Alto, La October 1st & 2nd

I was talking with a certain gun smith today in Vans. I understand the Jan 22 match has been cancelled and the Feb match coincides with the Tx state match. Also there was mention of a work day on a sat in Jan.

I sure would like to shoot on a sunday if possible or even the week after the jan match. Also, Santa, as long as I'm asking a Sunday work day would be nice.

The Feb. practice match will go on as planned. Mildot will run that match, Mstrophyhunter and myself will be in Texas that weekend probablly getting barbqued.

You mine as well come on and go to Texas with us Limbic.

How bout a link to rules for F class matches; I.E. F-T/R,
F-Open, Field precision, etc. If someone can link to or post rules for these different classes, I'll make a sticky for it.

I was notified by Richard Fuller on the PSC forum and the MR/LR Shoot Date for 2011 has been change. XTC will be shot on the 1st Saturday and MR/LR will be shot on the 2nd Saturday of each month except July and August.

Thanks for the info. Glad to hear they changed their schedule now it won't conflict with Palo Alto.

What time is the practice match on Feb. 26th?

First rounds go down range at 9:00 am. Need to have everyone signed up by 8:30 am.. Does X-Ring have your email address? If not pm me or him.
