Did you use a linear slide for the windage adjustment? Should be nice and smooth.

Lets see.......... I see the wheel of a sailboat, the feet of the bathroom scales, clear plastic towel racks (the wife is going to be pissed), back seat from a VW, cabinet knobs, small piece from a barbell set, and..... something that looks like it came from a toaster.

Alton never fails to impress me, if I just had a 1/10th of his talent and machinist ability I would be happy. That rest is fine no doubt; heck Sinclair needs to add those to their line!

thank you all for the comments few kinks to work out but overall feels very good and solid gonna make some 2 peice pads bottom one with 3 spikes top on a bearing for up down movement without spikes having to turn in ground . also add handles on each side to pick up and place. and oh yea the toilet paper roll hanger on the side

I don't see a bottle opener on that bad boy. lol Maybe something to pump coolant to my barrel or a fan to help with the heat. I don't really understand what you were talking about on you feet. I have some disc that i rest my caldwell on that helps. Spikes may work well for wooden benches but I worry about them sinking into the ground unevenly. I would also keep the knobs on the smaller side. Bigger knobs invite way way to much torque. Do you buy the actual front rest and slide it in there. I like the one on the demo much better than my calwell. With everyone having one at BougeChitto you might need to have somewere to place you name on the baseplate. clap
