My cousin has an mtac holster for his xd subcompact and am not real crazy about how high it rides. It prints real bad on me...

ftsibley wrote:well i just orderd the horsehide crossbreed w/ jhooks. for my 1911's. I hope it will work for what i need. I have to have tuckable as i wear dress slacks and button down or a golf shirt tucked in at work everyday and cant have the gun be all that obvious. Hope this will fit the bill. will post on my thoughts once i get it and wear it for awhile.
Has your supertuck made it in yet? I ordered the exact same one a few days ago, minus the j hooks. If it's here you should tell us how you like it.

love it. Very comfortable to wear ( i wear mine in the 5 o-clock position), make sure you have a good belt. Works very well as long as i "blouse" the shirt in the rear. The J hooks and my belt are almost the exact same color so they dont stand out. With a shirt untucked it is completly unseen. great holster, would recommend to anyone.

Good deal. The only thing I'm worried about is that I'm not a big guy... 5'10 160lbs. I think it'll be ok though. I went ahead and ordered one of their belts since I don't really think the one that I normally wear everyday is firm enough to support a gun. Looking forward to it coming in. However, I think it will arrive before my firearms permit does. I applied for it on Wednesday and ordered the holster last weekend.

Im a little fella and i carry a XD SC .40 in a Supertuck deluxe everyday.. Once you find the right spot to hide it and get the Cant and depth right, its comfy.
Also have a supertuck deluxe for my LCR.
WOuldnt have it any other way.

the addition of a good belt makes a big difference in the support of the gun, you will not regret the decision to buy a belt at the same time.

I have a Don Hume P.C.C.H. for my 1911 which I like well enough. My only gripe is that the belt loops are too close together on it and it allows a bit of movement but still does its job quite well other than that. One day (hopefully soon) I am going to spring for a beltman belt and a VMII or NM rig

Hey Dirt, I followed this link and it came back as an invalid thread. Could you point me in the right direction for one of these blems from Mark? I'm 100% with you on saving money for more ammo, and beside it doesn't have to look perfect anyway because it IWB. Thanks a million!!

I like my Crossbreed but I am about to order a couple of theRemora Holsters. They are clipless and reported to work amazingly well. At $25 they are worth a try. Check out this youtube review.

Re: IWB holsters - Tell us what you like and Why?
i have sold my crossbreed and replaced with a milt sparks VMII- I really love this holster, very comfortable and concealable as well.
I typically wear dress pants and a button down, teeshirt underneath. The MS VMII tucks well. You would really have to stare at it to see it printing. I think we are more observant of the gun than the avereage person. I see people all day long every day and no one outside of a friend has ever noticed, he knew i carried daily and was asking about which concealment holster i use.

As I understand it, Mark no longer sells blemished holsters. He did this to cut down on his over head and losses and as a result people were buying them and reselling them as #1 holsters. Thus tarnishing his reputation. So I believe he has stoped selling blend.

I can't carry iwb, so I got the owb crossbreed holster. I'm undecided on it, probably will have to be a winter holster.

IWB is the only way to go...
For deep concealment, that is. If your shirt rides up, it will have to go higher than your belt for anything to show. With OTB (On The Belt), it only has to go as high as the muzzle of the gun. I like this type & have been using the brown one since 1997 or 1998:

The Browning Hi Power holster has what other makers call a sweat shield, but I call it a
"Gouge Guard", 'cause in Mississippi Summers, there is no such thing as a sweat guard!

BTW, somebody needs to order a custom holster from me so you can tell the rest of the guys if it sucks or rocks! I'll make it to your specs & guarantee it to outlast any other holster you have ever owned!
