my first 10/22 build

Post by mrparamedicdawson on Wed 5 Jan 2011 - 21:08

Here is my first attempt to build a 10/22. I used an A&B barrel, Fajen stock, BSA Sweet 22 3x9 40mm, and have a Tanmey trigger on the way

Nice build. Yes we need to see some target pics with a ammo report.

still breaking in the barrel. Only ran about 300 rds through it so far. so far I'm 3/4" at 50 yards. So far the best results are with Eley Match and Tenex. But the results aren't consistent enough to report what it likes.

took it out today, put about 500 rds through it. So far I'm shooting 1/2" at 50 yds and 1.2" at 100 yds with Wolf Match Target. I have ordered a new trigger for it and another v-block to decrease the barrel sag. but so far so good

went to the range today to finish breaking the barrel in. I ran about 550 rds of Federal blue box. I then switched to Wolf Match Target and this was the last 5 shot group at 50 yds. The target is the official NRA 50 yard small bore target.

Just got my Timney trigger in and did some more minor things. Hopefully I will get over to Magnolia shortly and see how everything is working together.

Just wrapped up a pillar bedding with an additional trick. I'm heading to the range tomorrow so I will let y'all know how it does.
