Re: dropped off some work for Birdsong
Not as well as the black, but this was due to an extremely dirty/gritty holster. The most wear is on either side of the muzzle. Think I have a picture of it saved, so I'll try to post that up after work today.
The finish does have a lifetime warranty though so I'll get it recolored eventually, but it's no where near bad enough to care about right now

I'd love to get my M&P 9L and possible my Springfield TRP done, but I can't be without the M&P for that long. Bummer, as I really love their coating.

Re: dropped off some work for Birdsong
here's the pictures i promised...like i said 99% of this is due to a very gritty holster and would've happened no matter the finish.

the hammer is obviously going to show more wear than most other parts:

through the wear marks you can see the stainless steel, which does not stand out, so the only reason the wear is noticeable is if you're just bored and looking for it.

Called Birdsong yesterday to check on my 642...its in assembly finally.
Its been Early May since I have seen my old friend
Birdsong has been adding on to the back of their building so they have not done much the last several weeks...so the story goes

Will they spray a scope? I have a circa 1988 VariX III, glossy on rifle I want done but I've been thinking it'd cause me to have to get a new scope.

Given the turn around time I think I'll wait until after deer season and take that rifle to them. If I don't sell that Beretta pretty quick I may drop it off and have it done in green. I think I may drop the posting. If I had the money in hand I don't have a specific purchase in mind.

Re: dropped off some work for Birdsong
well as promised...Here are my 2 S&W revo's. I just got the 642 back today. It is a blue gray frame with Black T cylinder. It has smoothed up some. I had dropped it off April 4, 2011...man I thought I was gonna have to report it stolen. I was initially told six weeks
Also pictured is my S&W Model 19 that was also Black T'ed
I think I'll keep em both
while I'm very pleased with the end result...Go into it with your eyes wide open....
My advice to you...Don't take more than one gun at a time. Be mentally ready to kiss it goodbye for a long long time...6 months is just way too long...especially for nothing more than a small revolver
