WE Birdsong passed away a couple years ago. But his sons still run the business in Florence. I posted some examples of their work in the general firearms discussion forum. It should just be a couple from the top

Tim Thompson does good hot blue and teflon. he is located in Shelby

Bob Cogan. Accurate Plating & Weaponry does pretty much everything. I had a glock hard chromed by him and it looked great.

I know there are other finishers out there but i have never had a reason or need to search for any other.

Here's 2 companies that many people on the Sigform use. They both will run special prices for members of the Sig forum

CCR Refinishing http://www.ccrrefinishing.com/

Customized Creationz http://www.customizedcreationz.com/

Never read of anyone having any problems with etithers work.

Any of our members here good with Duracoat or similar coat. I have a Ruger Super Blackhawk I am thinking about getting refinished. I really like the Birdsong Black T treatment but the wait is the killer.

only 6-8 weeks......thats why i bought a supertuck ha...so i wouldnt be without a carry gun while mine is away. plus it gives you 6-8 weeks to come up w/ stuff to add like grips and such! ha must be the motorcyclist in me, you wreck your bike, or even just put it in for an oil change and its just a chance to customize!!!

CalebC and another board member does some cool duracoat work though! pm him

GCS does ceramic and duracoat, about a 2 week wait and i have known the owner for years. He is located in mobile alabama, I have had 4 guns done by him in ceramic coat and will have my NFA toys done as well soon.
