* Rifles used in the match must have the original or military style iron sights, no scopes.
* Most any military rifle is allowed in the Garand Match (M-1 Garand, M-1 Carbine, 1903 Springfield, 1917 Enfield, AR-15, etc.) and targets will be set at 200 yards.
* The Carbine Match is for M-1 .30 cal. Carbines only. The targets are set at 100 yards instead of 200 yards.
* The Vintage Rifle match is for any pre 1960 military bolt action rifle (Mausers, Lee Enfields, Springfields, etc.)
* The match fee is $10.00 and ammo is available at a discount for purchase for the match (match use only, sorry).
* An affidavit must be signed and notarized in order to compete. (This only required once and will be kept on file in a lockbox). The web address for the affidavit is http://odcmp.com/Competitions/Affidavit.pdf
* Once a participant has been through a match, they are able to purchase rifles and ammo from the CMP (Such as Garands, Carbines, Springfields, and Enfields when they are available)
* Eye and ear protection are required and some will be provided if you have none.
* All rifles must be unloaded with the chamber open with a chamber flag (see match director for one of these flags) inserted and safety on at all times until told to load the weapon.
* Rifles are to be pointed downrange at all times.

* All matches start at 9:00 a.m. (except the June through September matches which start at 8:00 a.m. in order to avoid the heat of the afternoon)
* The Garand and Vintage matches require 60 rounds (10 are for sighters and 50 for the match) and the Carbine matches require 50 rounds (10 rounds for sighters and 40 for the match)
