Exactly why I wait at least a year on any new offering. Let them get the bugs out, and read the owner feedback. Too many recalls the past few years for me.

From all the negative reviews coming out , I am glad I held off buying one.

Later, Mark

OK folks,
Got my Kimber Solo about 6 weeks ago and just was able to get to the range today. Took the Solo out of the box and shot 120 rounds out (would have shot more, but it's a pretty snappy pistol and my hand got sore!) of three mags and not one FTF, jam, or malfunction. WoW - what a pistol! And very accurate. Also shot my Para with match barrel and the Solo had tighter groups. Used Winchester 147 Personal Protection, Ala Ammo 147 hp (reloads), Gold Dot 147 JHP, and Winchester 124 NATO. Not one hiccup, only one initial chambering misfeed due to me not ensuring rounds were properly seated in mag.

I field stripped it, cleaned it, lubed it, changed ammo. Recoil with hot Cor-Bon ammo was extremely fierce, snappy. I would wait till they have worked the buggs out before shelling out $700.00 for one, just my thoughts.

I am a big Kimber Fan. My everyday carry gun is a Kimber Crimson Carry Ultra, and I really wanted to love this little pistol.

Had two buddies buy the first two Van's got and they aren't happy with them at all.. They sit in the safe and never get carried.

I'll offer $300 for each if they want to sell!
