non US citizen hunting gun

wonder if possible.
My friend from Canada he running his business in Mississippi for 7years now.
he's in E-2 visa and for sure is legal visa holder and has MS driver license.
He try to take the hunter's ED with me as well.
I googled if non-citizen, green-card holder and non-immigrant people to buying gun is legal.
I think this forum is right place to ask this.

1.he is in MS for 7 straight years (never go out of US since he came here)
2.vaild driver's license holder
3.vaild visa status.
4.vaild hunting license holder

is it legal for him to buy firearm?

I don't know the answer to your question, but I assume a legal alien could buy a firearm in America, because they have blanks for them on the application. I suspect it would be limited to only firearms that would be legal in his native country, though, since it should be returning with them when they return. From what I've read, Canada has some pretty restrictive gun laws. Might not effect a hunting rifle as much as handguns, though. BTW, welcome to the board. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful, but maybe one of our resident FFLs can fill in the blanks.

YES!Legal aliens can buy firearms as long as nothing else prevents it. He isn't a habitual drug user is he? Just like junkies will answer truthfully.
