Waiting on CCW Permit!!

I turned in my paperwork today. I had to surender my TN permit. Wch means I went from being able to carry for the last sevral years to not being able to carry for a month and a half. This truely sucks. If you already have a permit from another state they should give you a temp permit untill they get your MS permit cleared.

I haven't yet applied for my CWP in MS. Why is the wait so long?

Over in AL,. I went in, plunked my $25 down and was out the door in 20 mins with a shiny new Permit.

I went Tuesday and applied for my permit in Meridian. The lady behind the counter said it would probably be about 90 days before the permit came in the mail.

Anybody ever have to wait that long?

Other than that, the process was really smooth and the folks there were extremely friendly and professional.

a year or two ago Gov Barbour passed a law saying that they had to have it to you in 45 days. use to be 180 days and it took that long.

so start counting to 45 and youll have it

Me and Mr. High Brass put in for our CCWs (with endorsement) this week, on October 5. We were glad to find that we didn't have to get the CCW permit first, and then come back to get the endorsement. They sent in the paperwork for both, together.

Will be interesting to see how long they take to arrive. The very nice lady at the counter said, "4 to 6 weeks... or maybe 10".

if you dont get it in 45 days from when you turned it in call up there and ask why? usually 42-44 days is the average these days.

Got mine today 44 days since I applied. It's funy though the issue date is tommorow. SO I gues I'm not allowed to carry untill tommorow? They really want to make you wait the full 45 days apparently. Well now I guess I get to take a class for the enhanced permit.

Received mine in the mail today. Day 43

Just got mine. Day 50.

Just be thankfull that they put the 45 day limit in place. When I originally got my wife's and mine (about 11 years ago) it took a whole six months before we saw them come in. I would have been estatic with 45 days. Taking 6 months was ridiculous and I am pleased they have changed it, should have done it years ago.

Day 38 and counting down.

Broke day 40 here. I remember seeing people post "day 40" like 20 days ago and wondered if I would ever make it.

Got mine today 45 days on the money.Ready to go to wally world for the activation process.

Day 49. Me and the wife finally got them. Congrats on your permit. Have you completed the Wal Mart Walk (WMW) yet?
