Clash Of Metal, Man -VS- Man Steel Match At Magnolia Rifle & Pistol ClubThis Saturday, March 26th...
2 shooters
2 shooting boxes
5 pieces of steel counting 1 popper that is crossed for tie breaker
We will have Open and Limited to start. We may have side matches down the road for .22's.
We will do elimination by best 2 out of 3. Once a shooter has 3 losses on their card they do not advance. We will establish classes as the program advances. We'll use known ability and will look at classifications from other shooting sports like USPSA and ICORE and will handicap accordingly. In other words, if a newer shooter is going against a more experienced one they'll have to knock down fewer targets.
This is drag racing with guns! It's the most fun I've ever had and a hoot to just watch.
$5.00 entry fee and the match is 4th Saturday of every month. Matches willl start in the 8:30 to 9 range..
Questions?

Maybe they should do a clash of metal at 600 yards at the f class match? Now that would be interesting.

Poppers and falling plates...about the 3 ft apart, 10 yards out.
Do it.

I'll be there, might even break out the new toy if the holster arrives in time.
Cliff, do you need a hand with setup, if so what time?

I wish y'all where closer to the coast....It would be nice to hit the friday night plate matches at gun ho and then shoot in y'alls match on Saturday.
I agree with cliff...Its a whole lot of fun for five bucks and if it doesn't get your heart pounding nothing will!

Does anyone else feel wore slap the heck out?! I mean I know some of you worked all night and still came with some pretty darn good shooting but gosh. I'm burnt up. I did get a few hours of sleep last night but must not gave been enough.
Anyway just thought I would ask.
Good shooting guys and gal. Congratulations to Bryant.

Honestly I didnt know they had that many types of .22 boolits, I had a great time shooting with everyone today. Thanks to all who made it such an enjoyable experience and pointers to us new shooters. Looking forward to next time.

Great turn out and some good shooting! The goal was to match all competitors of different ability levels and still have a good race. Way to go new shooters! I saw so many smiles today.
Thanks to all the shooters who worked hard to make this one happen. We'll have a standard set of range commands that are easier for the hard working ROs next time.
Also, we'll be getting plate racks that reset with the pull of a rope, and a cross popper rig that resets. Magnolia approved the funds at the last BOD meeting. The matches will go much faster when this new equipment arrives.
Thanks to John and the USPSA program for letting us use the steel to get this off the ground the first couple of matches
We're also open to suggestions to make this a better match, so please send comments pm, or put them here.
I hope everyone had as much fun as I did, and congrats to Bryant for shooting his way to the win!
