Need holster help!!

Post by kowen1971 on Sun Mar 27, 2011 10:12 am

I have the XDm 9mm. I need advice on a good CC holster for this gun for someone with (extended) belly and love handles. Of course loseing weight would be the ideal fix but I want to carry comfortably now as well. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

I'm not too picky there as long as it conceals well. I don't worry about slight printing from time to time but wouldn't want to print all the time.

I also have a slightly extended belly with optional side saddles. To wear IWB, you need pants that are bigger than what you have now. I have a few IWB from Ugly Bald Guy holsters that conceal great with untucked shirt. I also have his OWB hi-ride holsters that conceal well with bigger guns like 1911's or my Sig 220.

The Crossbreed Supertuck is a great IWB choice and it lets you tuck a shirt in. I have to wear a baggy shirt to tuck while wearing it.

+1 on crossbreed. I've never CC'ed my xdm40 but I plan to invest in a holster soon. I conceal a full size 1911 very well in a crossbreed, also with the belly and love handles. So I'd say it's qualified to hide a xdm.

I've also been considering a Raven Concealment Phantom holster so that I can carry mine with my streamlight tlr-1 attached...I started a thread about it a couple days ago in the general firearms area with a couple reviews. Also the Raven holster is modular so can be converted from owb to iwb, and is supposedly one of the few holsters that does both well...
