California Fool
Mike Vanderboegh (not the California Fool referred to in the title), on his blog Sipsey Street Irregulars, occasionally shines a light on silly firearms related musings from the twilight zone.
Today, Vanderboegh posted his thoughts about Californian Mike Barkley and his platform for his congressional candidacy. I will note here that Barkley is likely a fool with no chance, but I'll let California be the judge of that, "bless their hearts". As quoted from Barkley's article on www.groundreport.com, "Repeal the Right to Keep and Bear Arms..." is at the forefront of his worldview.
Vanderboegh's input: also read the comments, I liked Arctic Patriots comment myself
Barkley's article from www.groundreport.com
I found Mike Barkley's campaign "ideas" page quite entertaining. Be advised there are quite a few.
Here are the firearms related highlights (and my thoughts):
1. Repeal the Second Amendment/Repeal the Right to Keep and Bear Arms ( AKA: start a horrible uncivil disaster)
2. Impose an annual tax on firearms, small for a single gun, escalating for quantity (hahahaha, and every private gun owner in our beautiful state just says: "I sold mine" and presents the appropriate paperwork: assorted range cards associated with avenues of approach to their property)
3. Invite Puerto Rico to become a state (no private ownership of firearms allowed or pretty close to it, but I doubt he knows or cares about that)
4. Strengthen Louisiana hurricane protections (Guns?)
As we all know, these folks are out there. Lucky for him, he is across the river, through the plains and over the Rockies.

Re: California Fool
They can't run their own state much less the nation. With a deficit that would run in the top 10 nations, not states, me thinks he aught to fix his own B.S. before he tries to run the country's. We got enough people running us off a steep hill without him pushing. Just trying to keep them dope heads from there off their on troubles.
