Take a look at the gunsmiths list. Just about any smith can do it.

The problem is I can't find an actual gunsmith close just dealers. Apparently the guy from Dad's started his own business. Does anyone know if he can thread barrels or know how to get in touch with him?

A bit far up, but Mike Smith at Smiths Speed Shop just south of Hattiesburg can do it.

I have a southbend lathe but i have never tried to thread a barrel. If someone knows what they are doing they are welcome to come over and use it. It is a change gear lathe so ill haft to make sure i have the correct gears for the TPI. And i need to get a toolpost.

He's up on Dedeaux road now. It's a Pawn/Gold Gun shop but I forget the name.

That said, LtDan and I have been there more than twice & I would not let anyone there touch one of my firearms.

Just my opinion.

Yea I agree with 1984, that place is a joke. It angers me just thinking about it. It's orange grove pawn and gun. If you do go in there ask to see their gunsmith license and insurance, they have neither.
