I traded a ruger 10/22 for mine Put an ATI stock on it. Shoots great no problems and a ton of fun to shoot

I can't really add much to what has already been said. The receiver is SOLID, and the dang thing eats everything. What is really fun is NATO rounds through the 995 You can feel that extra kick.
I would like to see the ballistics of the carbine length.

These threads about the Hi-Point carbine have captured my interest and I'd like to take an up close and personal look at one. Any of y'all know of where I might be able to find one somewhere around the Greater Jackson area?

Great SOuthern has them. Thats where I bought mine.

Well, they've got one less 9mm now! Think they still have 3 in stock - including a .45
