Got bored this afternoon

I had some extra flat tan krylon fusion lying around and a scuffed/beat up stock for my mossberg 500, so i decided to make it less ugly using the krylon. Hopefully it holds up ok, this is mainly a home defense/range gun so it doesnt get handled a whole lot... at least its cheap to redo if i have to one day.

Btw i am looking for another barrel to cut down to 18", if anybody has one pm me.

Its held up pretty well too, that gun never sees a case. just gets thrown in the trunk

Today i picked up a butler creek folder out of the classifieds for a mini 14, the folding part got some minor mods done and is now mounted to the pistol grip this gun originally came with. Its all coming back apart tomorrow to get sprayed in the same tan the other stock was. I know the angle looks odd, but it fits me quite well. Stock is a little short for me now, may add some metal to it after i shoot it. Yes it will eject shells folded... call it skill...or maybe i got lucky.

That two shotguns or one you added the folding stock on? What did you do to prep it for the paint? Acetone?, seemed like that would melt the thing, but sanding would be good? Share the knowledge Man!

Its the same gun in all the pictures. No real prep work at all, just cleaned real good with a automotive wax and grease remover (cleaner for paint and body work) Then sprayed with krylon fusion. It holds up quite well. The gun was originally a 8 shot mag gun i got without a barrel brand new from a pawnshop....real cheap. I cut the mag tube down so a 5 shot mag barrel would fit, those are much easier to find. It came with the pistol grip thats back on it now.

Joe, It is going back to how it was and the folder is going on that other mossy I got last month. Just need another barrel to cut down now. I liked the tan too much to have that stock sitting in a box. Also going to refinish the metal on this gun real soon, it's gotten some bad scratches lately and since it's basically a new gun (only about 50 rounds ) Before too long this gun will be turned into a short barrel shotgun so I don't mind spending funds on it so much. I won't ever get rid of this one.

Pictures got moved around/deleted when i finally organized my photobucket account. There is an update as well, i finally got another mag tube and barrel to put it back to the 8 shot configuration. Thats how it was originally, but i got it without a barrel.
