Looking for info on .22 rifle competitions for my son

My 11 yr old son is wanting to get involved in some type of .22 rifle competitions. I don't know alot about competitions as most of my shooting is for recreation. If anyone could provide information on this it would be greatly appreciated. He loves to shoot and is very "spot on" for an 11 yr old. We are in the north of the state but I'll take info on anywhere I could possibly take him. Thanks in advance.....

We have the 22 Fclass he might enjoy, 100yds shooting from the prone position. In Byram.

We also shoot 22RF F-Class in Starkville.

If you are a member of a range around Tupelo, we could shoot there also.

Check with your County Extension Agent for the 4H program. It is a good starting program.

A friend of mine's 11 year old is shooting a lot at Starkville gun club. I think the guy's name in charge of it is Jimmy Cole, very accomodating for new shooters, supplying rifles, kid sized coats, etc.
