STI 1911s
Anyone own STI 1911s on here? If so, give me some info on how you like or dislike them. I'm been toying with the idea of buying a STI 1911 for some time. Several years ago, I got to handle a STI Trojan and I loved it! I just didn't have the money at the time to buy it. Right now I'm looking at a Spartan model to start off with.

I think the spartan model is pretty reasonable price wise.

You ask “Anyone own STI 1911s on here?”.
I have an STI Guardian 9mm.
If you’ll go over to the topic “9mm 1911’s” (http://www.msgunowners.com/t4188-9mm-1911-s) I have written a number of posts in that thread on the STI, starting with 2/14/10 when I ordered it, then jumping over to 3/27/10 when I received it and then on and on through the next 4 or 5 pages.
After you’ve struggled through all that, if you’ve got any questions you think I might be able to answer, please let me know.

I've heard and read lots of good things about them. Unfortunately, I've never handled one. Hopefully some of the 1911 guru's can chime in on this one. Happy shooting.

No, no! I haven't bought one yet. I'm going to go with a Trojan though.

You won't be disappointed with the Trojan. It's one of the best values in that price range.
