Bolt action match this saturday at Magnolia RPC?
Does anyone have any information on the bolt action match taking place at Magnolia RPC this saturday? What time do I need to show up? Do I need to bring anything in addition to what I brought for the CMP Hi Power match last saturday?

I'm looking forward to it.
Got the call this afternoon that my M-39 has arrived at my transferrer's shop and will pick it up tomorrow evening if all goes according to plan. Have to take it out and put it on target to see how she hits, but other than that she oughta be good to go.
May even bring a second rifle to shoot in the second relay if I'm feeling real froggy this Saturday --- probably my FR-8.

Why didn't you ask me Sunday at the range? Same bat time, same bat channel!Squeezer wrote:Does anyone have any information on the bolt action match taking place at Magnolia RPC this saturday? The SWGC M1 clinic has been cancelled; let's see if I can make it to Byram two Saturdays in a row.

I'm a day late getting it posted up. I spent yesterday getting scores together and sent out via e-mail to non-MSGO members.Squeezer wrote:Does anyone have any information on the bolt action match taking place at Magnolia RPC this saturday? That Finn M39 ought to be a tack-driver. I am probably going to get myself another one from SOG soon. I have had and sold several, all were extremely accurate. Feed it some good Bulgarian ball and it will shoot as good as any other bolt rifle on the line. Just use soap & water to clean with before you go to Hoppe's & oil.

Thanks, Scharf.
I've got a bunch of 7.62x54R of different kinds. I've got corrosive light ball and heavy ball (I think the light is Czech and the heavy is Russian) and I've got non-corrosive light ball, modern Tula manufactured. In your experience with the M-39, which of these do you think will perform better?
