Re: New Match in Louisiana - USPSA
msshooter, I posted a thread about the match on another site and one of the guys from Cenla Sport Shooters replied and said they are planning on going but they had not heard if the match was on and if it was truly going to be USPSA match. You may want to send an e-mail to the above address to confirm. If you do go I hope you have a good shoot and will probably see you at one of these down the road.

Re: New Match in Louisiana - USPSA
I went and took a new shooter with me. Very nice bunch of folks over there. I think there was a few more shooters than expected, we had at least 40 shooters. We divided into 2 squads. Wow 20 people on a squad. That was unexpected! But we prevailed and made it through. There were alot of "new" to uspsa shooters that were not up on all the rules but there is ALOT of potential for this club. Their range is primarily set up for rifles so it was not very pistol stage friendly. I talked with one member who was onlooking and he said they had talked about adding a few wing berms to allow them to break up into smaller squads safely. It was a long hot day, but was alot of fun and met a bunch of great folks. Will definatly be a great place to shoot uspsa. Just a few glitches to iron out.

That is a lot of shooters in one. What time did y'all get out of there?
Re: New Match in Louisiana - USPSA
We finished shooting around 6pm. We tore down our last stage and the other squad was still shooting. John and I needed to get back home so we left a little early and made it home around 8pm. I would much rather start early in the am and finish up during the afternoon. I just don't think they expected that big of a turn out. It will get better I'm sure as they grow and gain a little more experience under their belt. They need to have a few of their more experienced folks attend a RO class. We only had 3 in our squad and I don't think the other squad had very many either. It was still a great day of shooting!
