anyone recognize this headstamp?

Post by Reloader on Sun May 29, 2011 2:56 pm

I was sizing some 9mm today and encountered a hard to deprime case. I forced the decap pin thru but then realized I had a Berdan primed case. I picked this up after a IDPA shoot so I don't know who shot it. It appears to be Egyptian or Indian but I don't have headstamp book to compare. You can see small holes beside the one large hole I forced through. Any ideas on origin?

Cursory internet search reveals it as Egyptian. The two pairs of characters are numbers indicating year and factory and the three characters are an acronym for a country, United Arab Republic.

You are right. I researched and it shows Egyptian by a company #27 but doesn't show date in data. Thanks

And you didn't break your depriming pin..........? That is a GOOD set of dies......

I agree with the others, that is Egyptain ammo.

If you pick up range brass, it is good to look at them before reloading. You never know what you will find.............

I busted my universal decapper on an 06 case mixed in with my brass after a high power match.
