in Jackson it took about 15-18 min from the time I walked in the front door. Fingerprints took longer than anything.

Got mine last summer in old Biloxi office (trailer). Waited 1 1/2 hours to start process. Then only took 15 Minutes. Lots of people getting permits that day..

You can go to the sheriff's office out on hwy 67 in north Biloxi/Gulfport to do it. I will be bringing mine in on Friday so if you wait I can let ya know how long it takes.

Definitely call ahead, I know the Jackson office only accepts new applications on a certain day of the week as well (Thursday I think). And of course, this information is only posted on the door of the office, so you don't find out until you get there...

I was the second person through the door in Biloxi a few weeks ago. (30 days ago, to be exact. No more than 15 more to wait....) It took about 15 minutes for her to be ready to wait on people, then about 10 minutes each for the 3 of us waiting, then she sent us all to fingerprint at once. I was out by about 9:15

Re: How long need to stay at the office for first time CCW apply?
In Meridian it took about an hour and a half. The same officer that processed the applications was handling what I think were salvage vehicle title applications. There were five people waiting with me, four of them were car dealers and one was getting his CWP.
After I finally got called back the process took 15 minutes.
