How about an AK/SKS-only Hi-Power match...??

Post by Brutus on Thu Jun 02, 2011 9:47 am

How about we dedicate one of the upcoming matches to be a restricted AK and SKS only match?

I think that would be a lot of fun and kind of like the Carbine-only match. Surely everyone has an AK or SKS, so we shouldn't have any shortage of shooters.

What do y'all think?

Very Happy

Don't have either one, believe it or not. We could do a relay in the HP match for just AK/SKS shooters....

Maybe at 50 yds Very Happy
Seriously, open to any AK rifle? I have an AK74 I would shoot with . . . at 100. Maybe even 200.

Has anyone made any progress on this one? SGF? I might try to squeeze one in at the McComb 100yd range if there´s enough interest. Suggestions for a course of fire would be welcome as well.

I think there a quite a few interested, just waiting for someone who's "in charge" to say, "OK, let's have this match on 'month XX, 2011'.....".

I'm ready when y'all are.

I'm probably off this weekend. Anyone up for a match on two days notice?

Smile

We could run a relay of nothing but AK's and SKS's at the M-1 Carbine match in September. Should be much cooler (I hope) by then, so running another relay won't be too bad. We'll already have targets set at 100 yards.
