Hi Power Match at Magnolia June 11, 2011 Report with SCORES

Well, since SubGunFan was on his shopping spree and missed this one, and since M1GarandFan is MIA (where's the scores???) I'll guess I start this.

Plenty warm, but not unbearable. First relay was shaded throughout. Most of second relay had shade as well.

I was pleased with my shooting until the "standing". Seven misses!! I sucked. I had just gotten some 10 round AR mags and changed my hold. That must have been it. At least that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

it was fun as usuall and not as hot as the last match but still hot.

They were better but still sucked...

Sorry folks, the program that I use to post up the scores is at work. I'll have the scores up in a few hours from this post. I liked my Rapid Prone score this time, but I think the heat and my lapse in memory caused issues with the Rapid Sitting and Slow Standing. It was definitely a hot day but well worth dealing with the heat to be around everyone and enjoy throwing some lead downrange. Scores coming soon......

Congrats Phillip M ! Hope some of y'all can come to McComb for our M1 Garand / Vintage matches, both the 30-rd CMP course of fire, on the 25th of this month. We will shoot at the McComb 100-yd range, in the shade (under the tin roof), then retire to the air-conditioned indoor range.

I would highly recommend that anybody that can, go to shoot the competition in McComb. I wish I could but I'm going to be out of town that day.
