Round count at CRSSA shoots?

Post by excatm76 on Sat Jun 18, 2011 4:12 pm

Does anyone attend the USPSA matches at CRSSA in Glen, MS? I'm wanting to attend a mtach, but I was wanting to get an idea of average round count per match and stage. I know I;m gonna need more mags for my M&P 9mm, I'm just not sure how many. I figure for now I'll just shoot minor in limited to keep the mag count down.

It's been about 14 years since I shot IPSC so I'm kinda fuzzy on how much ammo we used to burn through in a match.

I've never shot there, but all the other local matches I've shot were no more than 150 rounds. You can send an email to the contact guy listed on the USPSA webpage (below) and ask him. Another idea is to contact dbchaffin on this forum, he is the MS state USPSA coordinator

150 per match or stage? You gotta mean match right? Otherwise IPSC has gotten way to expensive for me.

I am a little late on the reply and I apologize for that, but the above responses are right on. It has been a while since I have shot there, but you can figure 5 stages totalling somewhere between 90-120 rounds or so. I looked at some recent results from 2011 and the average round count was around 108 for what it is worth.

They are a good group of folks and generally have between 10-20+ shooters at their matches. They shoot on the 2nd Sunday of every month at 1:00 PM and the 3rd Saturday of every month at 9:00 AM. The 2nd Sunday matches recognize all USPSA divisions, include one classifier, and typically have an optional rifle side match (2-3 stages) for no charge after the pistol match. Match fee for the pistol match is $8. The 3rd Saturday match only recognizes single stack, revolver, and production divisions and also includes a classifier. No side match after this one, and match fee is also $8.

Full info is on their website here: http://www.crssa.com/Default.aspx

There is also a Steel match on the 4th Sunday every month. All falling steel, not steel challenge. The round count is 90 - 100 rounds give or take. Match fee is only $5 and there is a shotgun side match afterwards.
