Unique is a good first powder ..... has a wide range of usages ...

First D-51.............. the button-nose wadcutter bullets that you got from Bel weight 148gr(+/-), not 158gr.......... Smile 158gr is in the SWC and RN range.

Me.... I "live" by Win 231........... Smile

No wonder I can't ever find any.... lol

DHollis....sometimes a powder choice is made on how well it meter's...i've used Bulleye, Unique and TB...no issues with any of em.

If SHTF and I could only run with one powder...It would be Unique

A BIG +1 on Unique as an ALL-ROUND powder (both handguns and in light rifle loads).

I keep a "few" pounds of Unique on hand at all times.......................

At least the "new" Unique burns cleaner...the old stuff was fairly nasty

Try several...You are gonna end up with a shelf full before long anyway...

Just go EZ if you use Bulleye...Its great stuff...just EZ to have a Oh sh!t also..I luv it 2nd most cause its cheap....cheap...cheap

I've reloaded 158gr 38special's with Bullseye, Winchester 231, and Accurate #2. I've been happy with all of the loads. Accurate #2 was the cleanest of the 3.

Hope this helps.

I've used Clay's Universal in my pistol loads so far, but I'm about to try some Unique as well. Might do a few in Trailboss as well. Got quite a few lead boolits to load out now thumbs up

A friend swears by Titegroup.. so I have been using that for a while.

To its not the powder ( unless its just too dirty) its reloaders abilty to be precise and consistant. A good guy can make any powder work.

The only other powder I have used is Bullseye.
