neck sizers...
do you have to have a neck sizer for every caliber you load?
for instance, can i use a .308 neck sizer on a 30-30 and .308 win? or do i have to have a neck sizer for the 30-30 AND for the 308?

Not an expert, but I have different sizing dies for 30-06 and 308. The distance from the shoulder is different even though the hole is the same size.

Yep u gotta get one for each caliber...Most cheap die sets come with a F/L die...you'll have to buy a neck sizer die seperately...for each caliber
Boy...I thought I "learned you" that already

You did. Just didn't think to ask you that question. I figured I'd have to have seperate dies but wanted to confirm.
That was a lot to absord in 3 hours. Even a sponge gets full eventually. Lmao

RCBS makes a pretty decent neck die....you won't see em at BP or Vans...
Now if I was in charge of the reloading aisle at BP...they'd be there....I'm just saying
You'll have to order one
Happy loading

If I ran BP I'd have RCBS X-dies, Redding three die sets, and some competition seater dies from RCBS, Redding, and Forster... but that's just me!
Happy loading

Yeah I like the Redding's also and RCBS comp seater die
Of course what I really like are the LE Wilson dies and arbor press...to each his own
None of these you'll ever see at a retail store around here..
That's why the Sinclair web site is your friend

Joe, you probably won't see any benefit out of neck sizing on a .30-30. Most people neck size to get top accuracy out of a gun. If you have more than one .30-30 or .308 you'll have to keep the brass separated by gun.

I'm down to just one each now. All my 30-30 will have to be full length sized before I use it as it was shot out of 2 or 3 different guns

Re: neck sizers...
I'm not loading for any target rifles so I just use my FL die to neck size by backing it out slightly so it sizes the neck but not the body. This works ok for the rifles I'm loading for.

Yea but you cheat by putting a scope on it. What a disgrace, a levergun with a scope!!!

Re: neck sizers...
you need to F/L size anyway.
reason being your shooting them in an auto/lever action. you only neck size bolt/single actions.
