federal ammo

Ok. I pick up my rem. 308 tomorrow and he showed me some federal 168 gr. Sierra match king bullets. Any suggestions on this round? The good, the bad, and the ugly.

May be the best factory stuff you can buy for accuracy, of course that depends on whether your gun likes it or not. For hunting, I would buy something different. What will you use the ammo for?

This inparticular just for popping metal and some coyotes. Won't probably do alot of hunting with this rifle. Mainly seeing how far I can reach out.

I've got some loaded up, but haven't tested them. Rumor has it that the Match King is a great accuracy round. Plus, you can load the Game King to the same specs and it is as accurate with good, constant expansion for hunting.

If you reload , might want to give the Nosler Custom Competition Match Grade 168gr BTHP a try, i load it for our 3 30-06's and my 300rsaum and get awesome groups and downrange performance pushing them with Varget powder.

Federal Match smmo with 168's aint too bad....Not sure what your definition of long shot is...

For "long range" I like the 175 and 190 SMK's better in 308

Lot depends on your barrel twist

I'd shoot a smaller caliber on yotes...if you wanna keep hides
