Springer Trophy Match reviews.

Post by Beladran on Mon Jun 27, 2011 7:38 am

actually had time this weekend to sit down and actually play with my new pistol at the range. Right off the bat the trigger is way to heavy, I am going to say its at or past 5lbs. 2-2.5lbs is the range i usually like to shoot at. I shot presicion delta 230, magtech 230, missiouri bullet lead 230, and lead bayou bullets 200swc. I was shocked to see that this gun absolutly didnt like any of the jacketed brands that i shot. Groups from them were in the 6-10 inch range off a bench at 25yards.
Best group of the day was this

one flier at the top but other than that that is the sort of group i was looking for! the bottom right bullets are off of another target dot.

Overall fit of the gun is A+. On breakdown i noticed the slide, barrel, and frame all have matching ss#.

One of my friends down here has one and he had to tweak on his too. What does "trophy match" actually mean would be my question. 6-10" groups are UNacceptable. Keep a tweaking and good luck.

YEa exactly... any pistol that has the national match initials an trophy match SHOULD be 1.5-2 inch at 50yards off a bench.. I'm gonna sink enough money in pistol to were I could have just bought a baer lol

Have you checked or miced the barrel and bushing? Could be the bushing wasn't properly fitted...cheapest place to start looking anyways LOL. Hope you get her tweaked to your liking...nice looking Springer.
