PYTHON--- Finally

Post by ftsibley on Wed Jun 29, 2011 1:36 pm

Well i finally traded for a python. This one is a 1981 prod. 6" in flawless condition.
the pic was taken right after i took it out of box and the bag with oil on it. I will finish cleaning it up good this evening. It appears at first glance to have very few if any rounds through it. I ended up trading my kimber royal II and my S&W 686 towards it. I have less in it than any i saw in like condition are selling on Gunbroker. I am PUMPED i have waited a long time to find one in this condition with the right price/trade.

I just marked it off my bucket list Wink . With the condition its in i probably will not shoot it. however as smooth as the trigger is i will probably take it out of the safe and dryfire it a little, i have some 357 snapcaps that i got from somewhere.

Beldran- The kimber is what made the trade possible. The guy i traded with has been trying to get that gun off me since he saw and shot it. I told him it would take a python to get me to trade it. He came through. big thumb up

A Python isn't on my bucket list, it's more like a crown jewel.

Very nice find, congratulations!

I had two like that

Post by coralcop on Tue Mar 20, 2012 10:28 pm

Back in the day I had two Nickel 6" Pythons. I carried one on duty for about 15 years before I shot all the X's out of it. I had the Eliason sights. You cant find those anymore. Now the only Python I have left is a 6" Stainless.
