Colt New Service
I have a Colt New Service nickel plated in .45 Colt 4 digit SN beginning in 7xxx. Has laynard strap, holster wear and not original grips. Cylinder is pretty tight not a lot of slack. Minor pits in barrel. Where can i get info on it and some original grips? BTW not for sale belonged to my Grandfather just trying to get info. I have heard you send this info to Colt and they will send info for $100 is this true, and where do I get that info.
Thanks
Thanks

Go to Colts web site. There is a number you can call. They will give you info over the phone free. You may even ask about original grips. Never know they might pull a rabbit out of their hat for a small fee.

Numrich Arms might well have some original grips, they tend to have the oddest old stuff squirreled away at times. Here is their web site:

You might also post a series of WTB posts on other firearm related forum websites you

Always a learning curve on photo posting here. Sort of a "rite of passage". You'll get it.
