Colt New Service

Post by Cowboy29 on Thu Jun 30, 2011 9:43 am

I have a Colt New Service nickel plated in .45 Colt 4 digit SN beginning in 7xxx. Has laynard strap, holster wear and not original grips. Cylinder is pretty tight not a lot of slack. Minor pits in barrel. Where can i get info on it and some original grips? BTW not for sale belonged to my Grandfather just trying to get info. I have heard you send this info to Colt and they will send info for $100 is this true, and where do I get that info.

Thanks

Go to Colts web site. There is a number you can call. They will give you info over the phone free. You may even ask about original grips. Never know they might pull a rabbit out of their hat for a small fee.

very cool. Search net for some colt revo specific forums. They will be able to give you additional info. Google is your friend.
I would love to see some pics. Please post some.

Numrich Arms might well have some original grips, they tend to have the oddest old stuff squirreled away at times. Here is their web site:

You might also post a series of WTB posts on other firearm related forum websites you
belong to as well, someone out there may have what you need.

Always a learning curve on photo posting here. Sort of a "rite of passage". You'll get it. thumbs up
