You're referring to the 5.25" Competition version. Had no idea until I just looked it up. Should be an ideal range/competition length barrel and set-up.

If you are an XDM shooter and want one..I would wait until they approve it for production division before going out and buying one (assuming you shoot USPSA)

i agree but why would they not approve it. its no different than a glock 34.

I'm sure they will, but it's not an instantaneous thing from my understanding.

Looks like I'll be adding a third xd to my stable. Would be forth but somebody needed my first more than me a while back. I hate a thief.

I thought cuts in the slide were not allowed in Production, in which case it would be a Limited gun.

Edit: I stand corrected, in the rule for Production it states "Slide ports permitted Yes, on factory-original approved models", so it could be approved for Production Division
