OutLaw Steel Match This Sunday, July 10th At Magnolia Rifle & Pistol Club In Byram...

Set-up will begin promptly by 7:00 AM. ALL in-town shooters are expected to be there for set-up, as we will have the shooter's meeting by 7:45 AM, so the match can start at 8:00 AM to beat the heat.

All shooters are expected to help in tear-down.

Just about everyone has been great on set-up the last few months. Let's keep it going. We dont want to beat anyone up over the work issue, but please be kind to your fellow shooters. Many hands make light work.

Good thing I checked again I was about to show up Saturday! Guess 'cause it's been since last week in May I got anxious. Oh well, I'll bring the broad side of a small barn to shoot at this time 'til I get going good... Now to figure which I'll shoot...been enjoying the 3 months old XD9 so probably it.

I'm bringing a cooler with plenty of water, probably leave it on the 25 for anyone to grab a cold drink.

He did great, especially first time out. Glad to have you guys in our squad, hope you had a blast. Safety first... then FUN.... then performance. I pretty much don't even think about that last one as you could tell

P.S. The "Steel Cabinet of Goodies" needs more white paint.

Don't forget ICORE match this Saturday, Semi's are welcome. Setup at 7am to beat the heat! Thanks for all the great help this past weekend. I arrived at 7:01am to a large group of eager to help shooters. I took my Honda generator and fan which really helped in the heat we had. I appreciate everyone's help and enthusiasm. We finished at 11:00am and Cliff's squad that had to reshoot Stage 3 due to a range equipment failure with the Texas Star were finished at 11:45am. Sorry for being late with the scores, I had a cold/sinus infection and had been to MEA Friday pm and then helped Betty Wilson finish mowing the 11 acres range Friday night....I shouldn't have even come out Sunday, but it's hard not to get up and go shoot with such a great group. Due to my illness I had forgotten to take my computer to do the scores. Finally the scores are there so, see you all next month in preparation for the USPSA National Handgun Championships in Septemeber in Las Vegas....

When will the next one be? I have pistol and IWB holster. What else is needed?

What's your pistol? For a semi you ideally want to have OWB holster, good belt and at least 4 mag pouches & 5 spare mags. Guys were always great about pulling together loaner gear for me until I got my own-

In addition to the next ICORE match next Saturday, July 16, the next Outlaw Steel is Saturday, August 13, there is also a Man on Man Clash of Metal match on Saturday, July 23, Next USPSA is Sunday August 7.

Both .45's that I might use. One Kimber 4", one Wilson 3 5/8". The Wilson is the most accurate - 1/2" benchrest 5 shot groups at 15 yards. I do have a kydex Galco owb holster, however my concealed carry is a Galco IWB Royal Guard. One double kydex mag pouch (second double on order). 5 Wilson mags, no problem. Guess this would get me started...

What are the differences between limited and open?
