Shooting begins Promptly at 9:00

SMGC Member Cost is $10.00, Non-Club Member Cost is $15.00, Junior Shooters $5.00

This is a two gun 22 LR Rimfire event: Pistol & Rifle
Any safe 22 LR pistol and rifle may be used.

Eye and Ear protection to be worn, even by spectators.

You do not have to be a member of Southwest MS Gun Club to shoot in this Match. Bring your friends.

Course of Fire:

Stage 1: Steel Plates
Pistol – 10 yards, 6 shots in 7 seconds
Pistol – 15 yards, 6 shots in 7 seconds
Rifle – 20 yards, 6 shots in 7 seconds
Rifle – 25 yards, 6 shots in 7 seconds

Stage 2: Modified Practical
Two targets per shooter
Pistol – 15 yards
One shot each target in 4 seconds
Two shots each target in 5 seconds
Three shots each target in 7 seconds
Rifle – 25 yards
One shot each target in 4 seconds
Two shots each target in 5 seconds
Three shots each target in 7 seconds

Stage 3 – Moving Target
Pistol – 10 yards, 6 shots with target moving Right to Left
Pistol – 15 yards, 6 shots with target moving Left to Right
Rifle – 20 yards, 6 shots with target moving Right to Left
Rifle – 25 yards, 6 shots with target moving Left to Right

Stage 4 – Rimfire Silhouette Plates
Pistol – 10 yards, 6 shots at 6 plates in 12 seconds
Pistol – 15 yards, 6 shots at 6 plates in 12 seconds
Rifle – 20 yards, 6 shots at 6 plates in 12 seconds
Rifle – 25 yards, 6 shots at 6 plates in 12 seconds

HEAT WARNING !!! Bring water and sports drinks !!!
This will be a fast match to shoot and the range will be open to action pistol practice after the match is over. I plan to be finished with the match and any practice around noon.

This will be at the McComb range and not the Burns range, correct?

Since this is the first time for us to do this type match, I have chosen to keep everything as simple as possible. There will be one division for adults and one division for the junior shooters. Shoot optics or iron sights, the choice is yours.

My idea is that most shooters have optics on their rifles while shooting iron sights on their pistols. So I will have all shooters shot with what they have on their guns and see how it works out.

The match will be at the McComb range.

Who all's going??? I'm in!

I wish I could have made it to this match, sounds fun. If they have another one hope I can shoot it.

This was a great match, one we will have to do again. The mover was the down fall for all the shooters. The T-Rex target was the hardest to hit. I liked the Silhouettes the best. My 13 year old son out shoot me on the Silhouettes, which made his day.

Match was an awesome idea scooterbear, thanks for all your efforts to bring this to light. I can't believe that more folks didn't show! Most folks say the cost of ammo is what keeps them from shooting more, what's their excuse now??? I enjoyed meeting the guys that were there and it wasn't near as hot as it could have been. Can't wait til' the next one!!!
