Hehehe, I finally got one

well I finally got a nice .308 bolt gun.
It's a 700 that has been given the full treatment, blue printed action, trigger work and a McMillan stock. Running Nightforce scope mounts with a cheap Osprey 6-24x50 which will be upgraded when $ is up. I traded several guns from the collection for this one. I'm hoping to get to the range in the next couple of days for a little time with some Lake City Match 175gr.

Billy Tears did the blue print and the trigger, i'm not sure to did the green.

thanks, The guy I bought it from was saying that for fun he used to take 12" balloons out at 800yds. I'm not doubting that but I can't wait to see for myself.

The guy I got my Winchester from told me 3/8 in at 600 yards. Trophy hunter built it and says its a gooden. Had it 6 mo and haven't shot it yet.

While LC Match ammo is nothing to sneeze at..... custom reloads might do even better.

took it to the range finally.. with LC 173gr match it's at 1/2" @ 200yds......now time for some hand loads

175gn's might be a bit heavy for the 1:12 barrel. I have the same rifle and they like lighter bullets.
