Mosin Shoot and Zombie Shoot at Desoto RPC

Post by miker84 on Fri Jul 08, 2011 9:08 pm

Got a couple of emails today. Plans aren't final, but Desoto is having a Mosin shoot and Zombie Shoot.

Mosin course of fire: 200, 300 and 600 yds. 15 rds each stage with 5 sighter rounds. All prone, slow fire with no bags/rests. You can use the issued sling for support. 15 minute block time for each stage. Surplus ammo only. Dress as a hobo or WWII Russian soldier.

We are also planning a Zombie shoot for Halloween, rules TBD.

Sounds like fun!

I shot that Mosin I got and couldn't hit a bowling ball at about 50 yards. Only thing that did make me feel better was someone else got behind it and he couldn't hit it either. And he's a durn good shot. We was just plowing the field at 'Necks.

I have 16 Mosins ( I have a problem ) 6 Finns 10 Russian. I think they all shoot quite well I use Bugarilan yellow tip heavy ball for target practice and zombies and Sellier and Bellot soft point for hunting have taken deer with them out to 225 yards so far with no problems,
I luv my Mosins and they should be very good for the Zombie uprising.

Full autos are not allowed at the range.

The Zombie shoot will be divided into rifle, pistol and shotgun.
