PRESIDENT O's EXECUTIVE ORDERS PHASE 1 GO INTO EFFECT TODAY

Phase one of Obama's gun control executive orders goes into effect today, affects sales in border states and establishes an "electronic" background check so that there will be an (illegal and unconstitutional) "electronic trail/record" of gun purchases:

For 20 years, I've been telling my wife that she shouldn't underestimate those who would undo our Constitution. Some may even think they are doing a good thing. I just never thought that I'd see the day when the USA was broke and the President would actually be a socio-communist.

FYI, the ATF already requires some (if not all, I've only worked for one) FFL dealers to send in all of there old 4473 forms (background check forms) that have all of the information regarding the buyer and specific firearm(s) involved.

FYI, the ATF already requires some (if not all, I've only worked for one) FFL dealers to send in all of there old 4473 forms (background check forms) that have all of the information regarding the buyer and specific firearm(s) involved.

Thank goodness private sales are still legal, for now. Background checks are a form of registration. And we all know what follows gun registration... confiscation

I just looked up some info on executive orders and i was quite stunned. They do have the force of the law. Can't remember why I thought they didn't. So what keeps Obama from becoming a dictator if he abuses executive orders?

The 4473 is just a record of the purchaser's (transferee) legal information. The 'background check' is the call to NICS.
That requirement to turn in the 4473 is for when the FFL lets the license expire, sells the business, or goes out of business. The only other time is if the BATFE find "irregularities during an audit, but then they must copy them, if the FFL keeps their license they also must keep the 4473s, that is a legal requirement.

Ok, I was trying to find the actual EO. I looked on the Whitehouse website and couldn't find one that sounded like this. I guess it is still being written.

by Obama has gone totally unreported in the media, even on Fox News? That's scary, the mainstream media and their allies in the Dems
are already circling Rupert Murdoch's holdings both here and in
England trying to find a way to muzzle him if not jail him in the UK
where there is no 1st Amendment protection, just the whim of the
government at any given time. They might be hinting to him to keep this fiasco quiet to retain his FCC "approval", lord knows that
wouldn't be out of character for Obama's bunch of thugs.

Yes that is a "second front" if you will, in this battle. The blood is in the water and the sharks are circling Murdoch and FOX News. Who knows what he / his network has been threatened with here in the US? He is done for in the U.K. Watch for FOX to "triangulate" and move to the neutral "middle" now. Glenn Beck is gone, Bill O'Reilly has always tried to play to the barely right of center; Hannity is losing viewership -it is a question of survival. Media Matters has openly declared "war" on FOX yet is retaining their tax-exempt status. Only a matter of time for FOX to be forced to conform with the current regime's dictates. Either that or be shut down.
