M1 Carbine Match Results (7-16-11)

Another FUN Carbine HP match at Magnolia. The overcast skys helped with the temperature, but the increased humidity played hell on shooting glasses.

Remember driving in thick fog when you can barely see the end of the hood..... That is what I saw during the rapid-prone stage. Not only was the black bull almost gone, the front sight was fading quickly....... This is RAPID fire so you can't wait for your glasses to clear as in slow-fire.

The match started for me with some fairly poor looking sighter targets. Shoe's 2nd sighter target was KICK-A$$ so I knew I had to kick my A-Game up a notch. Today things just CLICKED......

M1GF, I also suggest you slow down a little in rapid-fire. You finish way too fast. Use the time to settle into the next shot better.

I do the same thing. 60-70 seconds is a short time till you are shooting and it seems like it slows down. im gonna take that advice as well next time.
