Charter arms and Taurus are canning their line up of 327's and smith has back production down to a crawl.. = (

I always thought it was sort of a solution in search of a problem.

They touted it as more powerful than a .38 and almost up to the level of a .357, but with higher capacity in the same frame gun. If 5 or 6 .357's won't get the job done, chances are 6 or 7 .327's won't either.

IDK

Guess I better be loading up on some ammo

i think it was a great idea but its just so far behind. i mean look how long the 357 has been around. i dont think anybody is going to go from shooting a 357 to 327. IMHO it was a limited market to start with

Actually I would have considered it. It has the potential to make for a good competition round. Low recoil would mean faster follow up shots, yet still have a flat trajectory and range to knock down the plates. Plus with a physically smaller diameter the possiblity of squeezing more rounds into the same space (cylinder). No its not a better SD round, just a possible good comp round.

327 was a good chevy engine back in the day OT2 but kinda hard for any round to take out the market for the 357 mag OT when you combine price and availability of ammo, give me the 357 any day
