finally getting my first .45
Finally got around to ordering the .45 I've been wanting "M&P45" 4.5in. 10rnd will try to post pics and if it makes it in time give a range report next weekend. Hoping it and my range badge come in about the same time. They said 5-7 business days for it to come in. Until then happy shooting and be safe out there.

Congrats on the new pistol. I'm sure you'll enjoy shooting it. It is also a great cartridge to reload too.

Ok I'm wishing I hadnt seen that picture of the 3 cause I think I'm falling in love with the middle one there. I'm not sure why but something just catches my eye about that one. Is that an S&W symbol I see on there?

The middle one is a Metroarms. It's in the same field as Rock Island, Citadel, ATI, and those other Phillipine 1911's. I upgraded some parts on it (beavertail, hammer, sear, thumb safety, grips). It's sort of my "beater" 1911.

What would be the price range on that (with upgrades)?

It was about 400 out the door at the fun show. The other stuff was around 100ish. I think there are models that already have the upgrades on it. You have to be careful because if you keep upgrading stuff, you'll be getting into the range of Springfields. The Springfield Range Officer on the right already had everything and is a much better gun and will hold its value. It was under 800.

I guess what really attracted me to the metroarms is really the grips I like the looks of them as apposed to the wood grips. I do like the sights on the springfield though.

Re: finally getting my first .45
That would be my first .45 as well. It's a great gun. The only bad part is how much it costs to feed it. I wish someone would make an M&P conversion kit.
I also own an M&P9 and M&P9C, and have plans to get the M&P40 and M&P22. I'm a big fan of these guns.

Ok can someone tell me where/if I can find a 14round mag for the m&p with just a flat base on it instead of one of the extra finger rest base? even one with just the simple small finger rest like the compact in the picture above would work. I just dont want the full length finger rest.
