Hello from South Carolina
As someone with an interest in guns and gun history, I found this site while looking for some answers about a pistol I purchased about 30 or so years ago and just stuck it away for the day I could possibly get it repaired. This seemed like a site used frequently by folks with an appreciation and knowledge of all kinds of guns.
I purchased a pistol at an auction in the early seventys just becasue I liked the way it looked and now I need some information. If anyone can tell me something about a Webley pistol I would appreciate it very much. The top strap has P. Webley & Son, then under it Birmingham, the barrel is 1 1/2 inches, six shot, the left side in front of the cylinder is marked with a bullet and under it is "W & S", under this is "WEBLEY'S", under this is what appears to be a pair of hands with handcuffs, and under this is "M.F.", with a serial number under this.
I can't seem to find a picture of a Webley that has a barrel lenght of 1 1/2 inches in any book or reference material. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Have a great day and thanks for any information.

Can't help you with the Webley, although I'd like to see a picture of it. But, welcome to the site none the less.

Howdy. I lived a year in Myrtle Beach.
As they said above, a photo or two will help, and repost in Handgun section. Bet you'll get an answer.

Like some have said, you may want to post the question about your pistol in the handgun section. Doug may have an answer for you.

Welcome from Brandon!!!
I've got a little info on Webley's. I'll see if I can find one with a 1 1/2" barrel.

P Webley and Sons was formed in 1838 and became Webley & Scott in 1897. I found several 2" one by no 1 1/2" barrels listed. The caliber should be stamped on the barrel. Some pictures would help a lot. Does the cylinder swing out, does it unload like a single-action or is it a top break?
